A fundraiser was held in downtown San Diego to fund abortion services thru Planned Parenthood. A large group of protestors were there to speak out there disapproval. Jeff, Adaline, Heidi and I went to preach the gospel there.

I watched this AMAZING and POWERFUL 2 part video on YouTube and thought I would share it here. It is a speech by Gianna Jessen, an abortion survivor, at Queen’s Hall, Parliament House, Victoria, Australia on the eve of the debate to decriminalize abortion in Victoria. This is one of the best Christian testimonies I have ever seen!

UCSD – Pro-Life Exhibit by Justice For All

Justice for Life (JFA) came to town this week and erected their huge travelling Pro-Life exhibit on the campus of UCSD. It has a combonation of facts about how a baby develops in the womb and also contains some very graphic pictures of aborted babies.

I would say the exhibit went well and there was of course a number of people upset by it being there but over all opposition was relatively mild and there were many good conversations with students and faculty there. Some of the JFA people shared the gospel with the students and some just concentrated strictly on the issue of abortion. All in all though I would say it we were very glad JFA came to San Diego and we look forward to them coming back again.

VIDEO – Choose Life! – Pro-Life Rally in Downtown San Diego

The first major Pro-Life rally in quite awhile was held in downtown San Diego on Sunday, May 17th at the SD County Administration building.

There was a good turnout of about 700-800 people and some of the major pastors in San Diego spoke there. David Jeremiah, Jim Garlow, Mike Macintosh, Bishop McKinney, and a few others.

The enthusiasm was good but none of the pastors committed to any specific action and I wonder what, if anything, will come from this rally? Only time will tell.

My favorite speaker though was Shawn Mitchell who is the pastor of New Venture Christian Fellowship in Oceanside, CA.

CHOOSE LIFE! – Pro-Life Rally on May 17th – Downtown SD

San Diego – “Choose Life Rally”: Sunday, May 17th, 1 p.m., in front of the San Diego County Administration Bldg., (south of Grape St. & Harbor Dr.). Pro-life people from around the County will gather on the same day and same time that President Obama, the most pro-abortion president we have ever had, gives the commencement speech to the University of Notre Dame graduating class of 2009. We will give a public witness for the protection of life from conception to natural death.

Scheduled speakers are: Mike Macintosh, Shawn Mitchell, Jim Garlow, David Jeremiah, Miles Macpherson and others.

Great to see some of the major pastors from San Diego coming out to support this event! In fact, I can’t remember this ever happening before. I hope this will encourage all of us to support and back the Pro-Life movement and to take a stand against abortion which we all know is murder of the unborn.
